That's one way to deal with the problem...
Galway City Council have set out on a mission to combat dog poop left on paths and green areas.
They've started a creative project where they spray paint the areas where the foul is left in.
The paint is there to warn passers by, with posters also highlighting the issue.
The council have enlisted a number of volunteers to pinpoint the foul spots.

Dr Evelyn Francis Parsons, last weekend launched Galway County Council’s Anti Dog Fouling Campaign ‘If they Poop, You Scoop!’’ in Ballinasloe, the campaign will move around the county for the next two Fridays as wardens aim to inform dog owners of their responsibilities🐶 pic.twitter.com/r9vOWppP9w

Tiarnan McClusker of Galway City Council says it is a huge success.
"They are spraying a circle around individual dog fouls in the specific area."
The project was rolled out over six weeks on a trial basis.
"Within that six week trial period, we've seen a reduction in dog fouling of 55%."
