A new study shows dogs judge humans when they make mistakes.
If you've ever got the side-eye from your pooch, it can certainly feel like it they're looking down on you!
And now researchers at Kyoto University in Japan seem to have confirmed that, they found dogs can evaluate the competence of humans, especially female dogs.
An experiment found female dogs were more likely to pay attention to people who were correctly able to open a food can.
The study's lead author, Hitomi Chijiiwa, said:
'Our findings show that dogs, especially female dogs, are able to identify human competence, which can influence their behaviour, particularly if food is involved. '
'Future studies should investigate the potential sex differences among dogs in the way they evaluate humans.'
