The Den won't be returning to our TV screens in the New Year.
The popular children's programme ran from 1986 to 2010.
It made a come-back on RTÉ last year for a six-show run during the lockdown.
Following its success, it was expected to return again in January.
But Double Z Creative, the people behind Zig and Zag, have tweeted that they found out from the bosses that The Den won't be back after all.
Well, sad news to report today. We found out from the bosses that #TheDen won't be coming back after all! Thankz to all the old fans and the new ones for tuning in! We had a blast! pic.twitter.com/q3suLJQg85

They've thanked old and new fans for tuning in, saying they had a blast.
Fans meanwhile were quick to take to social media to blast the decision.
Insane decision. A ratings and critical smash, cheap-as-chips telly, and absolutely beloved by audiences. Who is making decisions like this in @RTE? #BringBackTheDen! #TheDen https://t.co/c3k4IEDbdC
