Your driving playlist could affect how safe you are behind the wheel.

The car insurance company Chill has released new research focusing on Irish Christmas number ones, and how they can have a negative impact on drivers' behaviour.

According to a previous study from South China  University of Technology, listening to songs faster than 120 beats per minute (BPM) can increase the risk of dangerous driving behaviours.

This is apparently because of the cardiovascular, physiological and psychological impacts of the music.

Analysis

Chill has now analysed the BPM of tracks that were number one in the Irish charts over Christmas throughout the years and has found that "Hallelujah" by Alexandra Burke is the top song you should avoid while driving.

That's followed by Brendan Bowyer's "No More" from the 1960s, then "Lose Yourself" by Eminem, "Impossible" by James Arthur and Dermot Kennedy's "Giants."

Little Mix's version of "Cannonball", "Father and Son" from Boyzone, "Babe" by Take That, Spice Girls' "2 Become 1" and Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" complete the top ten.
