Seaweed could be the answer to solving dangerous cow farts.
Scientists at the University of California Davis found feeding 3 ounces of seaweed to cows - four times a day - reduces the amount of methane they release by 82 per cent.
The Guardian reports agriculture makes up 10% of emissions in the US, and almost 20% in Ireland - with most of it blamed on the flatulence of our bovine pals.
The seaweed inhibits an enzyme in the animal's digestive system, which produces the greenhouse gas.
