The new wellness practice that is now trending in the Netherlands involves cuddling a cow.
People have been trying the trend known as 'koe knuffelen' which means cow cuddling to help keep calm.
According to CountryLiving, hugging a cow allows our bodies to create oxytocin.
Commonly known as the cuddle hormone, oxytocin helps people feel more relaxed.
BBC reported:
"Cow cuddling is believed to promote positivity and reduce stress by boosting oxytocin in humans, the hormone released in social bonding.
"The calming effects of curling up with a pet or emotional support animal, it seems, are accentuated when cuddling with larger mammals."02
