A couple were left stunned after receiving 25,000 ecstasy tablets in the post thanks to a botched drug deal.
A couple in their late 50's were eating their breakfast when two boxes were delivered to their home in Linz in northern Austria.
The couple assumed it was a long-awaited clothes order from the Netherlands, but instead found one of the cases contained €500,000 of ecstasy tablets.
An investigation found the package was meant for a Scottish address.
Police said: “One of the parcels did contain their clothing. But the other contained some 24,800 ecstasy tablets.
“The cosy breakfast they had originally planned was quickly set aside. They were horrified.”
The wife thought the drugs were decorative stones, but the husband realised they were something more and they brought the package back to the post office.
According to Sky News, police officers searched a property in Glasgow but no arrests were made.
