Usually reserved for the bedroom, a mum found an entirely different use for the contraceptives.
A woman in the UK has discovered an unusual method of removing limescale from sink taps.
The mum fills condoms with vinegar, secures them to her taps and leaves them overnight.
The mum shared her strange hack on a Facebook group called Hinch Army Cleaning Tips:
"White vinegar in a condom left overnight on the taps, no scrubbing after just used a sponge to wipe."
Asked how she came upon such a method, she answered that she didn't have any food bags, balloons or runner gloves at home, but did have "loads of free condoms".
Her taps certainly look sparkling!
