Every so often, a film comes along that just stands out from the rest - be it good or bad.
We've had Sharknado, we've had Piranha and now it's the turn of COCAINE BEAR.
The plot is simple, a big ol' bear, that ingests an awful lot of cocaine and goes on quite a rampage.
Who thinks of this stuff!?
As outrageous as it sounds, the plot is actually based on a true story that happened the US State of Georgia in 1985.
Fortunately for the people of Georgia, the real events that inspired the film had a much smaller body count.
At the time, investigators searching for drugs dropped from a plane by smugglers came across what was reported to be about 40kg in packaged cocaine in the forest.
The packages had been ripped open and their contents were spread across the area.
Nearby lay a large black bear, who'd helped himself to several million dollars worth of the narcotic, had a huge overdose, and died.
But you can't write a whole movie about that, so naturally, scriptwriters have gone to town on a plot-line about a murderous 175lb fluffball.
Enjoy!
