If ever there was a sign the boom was back...
An umpire at Wimbledon had to ask spectators not to pop a bottle of champagne during a match.
It happened yesterday during the match between Anastasia Potapova and fellow Russian Mirra Andreeva on court number three.
Understandably, during an intense, high stakes tennis match, the last thing a player wants to hear the pop of a bottle of bubbly.
The official appealed to the crowd to avoid opening champagne as players are about to serve.
Bottles of bubbly are sold on the grounds of the tennis championships, and spectators are also allowed to bring their own.
"Ladies and gentlemen... if you are opening a bottle of champagne, don't do it as the players are about to serve" ?
