If you live with a cat, you'll be familiar with 'cattitude' - your furry friend's self obsession and downright snobbishness.
Let's be honest - cats are out for themselves, and that's what we love about them.
People with a furry feline at home won't be surprised to find a new study has confirmed what many have suspected for years; cats know when their owners are speaking to them - but choose not to listen.
The research shows cats can't recognise their own name but know the tone of voice their owners use when speaking to them.
Most people speak higher and in a "baby voice" when speaking to their four-legged friends, even when their cat pretends not to hear them!
