Early this week a mystery load of 32 tons of carrots was dumped on the campus of  London university.

It was revealed on social media that the giant pile of vegetables was in fact an art installation.

Goldsmiths University was shocked when it received a dump truck full of carrots.

The mystery was solved with student Rafael Perez Evans claimed ownership for the vegetables.

According to UPI, a spokesman told MyLondon:

"Rafael has arranged for the carrots to be removed at the end of the exhibition run and donated to animals,"

Evans has since released a statement claiming that the design is to raise awareness of food waste.
