A company is on the hunt for Chief Candy Officer who will be tasting sweet treats and earn themselves an impressive salary.

Online sweet shop Candy Funhouse in Canada is offering $100,000 a year (£65,019/$77,751 USD) to one lucky person.

The job involves tasting new products and ‘being in charge of all things fun’.

The listing reads:

"Do you love all things candy and chocolate?”

“Are you passionate about confectionary treats and exploring unreleased and existing products?

If so, this is the PERFECT position for you!,” it adds.

“We are looking for the world’s first and only Chief Candy Officer! This is a work-from-home with the option to work out of either Toronto, Canada or Newark, New Jersey.”
“It is paying up to $100,000 annually to lead the “FUNhouse” Candy Strategy. This includes approving all candy in inventory,”

“It also included deciding whether or not to award each treat with the official ‘CCO (Chief Candy Officer) Stamp of Approval’."

“Being the Chief Candy Officer at Candy Funhouse is much more than just fun and games, it’s serious candy business!,” it explains.

The Chief Candy Officer decides which new candy products Candy Funhouse will be carrying, leading candy board meetings, being the head taste tester, and taking charge on all things fun!”

Applicants don’t need any prior professional sweetie munching experience, but a ‘creative mind’, ‘golden taste buds’ and excellent communication skills.

You’ll need to be free of food allergies and ready to try more than 3,500 products on a monthly basis. You should also ‘know how to have fun’, according to the ad.

The role is open to anyone living in North America who is aged five or over.
