Burger King's new advertisement showcases their decision to remove all artificial ingredients from the Whopper burger.

The fast food chain is making the change after receiving negative criticism about the transparency of ingredients.

The brands Chief Marketing Officer Fernando Machado said:

"We believe that real food tastes better. That's why we are working hard to remove preservatives, colours and flavours from artificial sources from the food we serve in all countries around the world."

The burger giant who is known for bizzare ads, posted a stomach-turning advert showing a 28-day-old burger covered in mould, saying, "the beauty of real food is that it gets ugly. That's why we are rolling out a whopper free from artificial preservatives. Coming by the end of 2020 to all restaurants in the U.S."

There has been mixed reactions on social media following the release with some praising the brand for their honesty and others reaction in disgust.

A 2018 Nielsen report revealed that young adults are more willing to pay more money for products made with natural and environmentally-friendly ingredients.

The new burgers is already being used in 400 chains around the U.S. with the new recipe to be used in all Burger King chains by 2021.
