A woman has taken to TikTok to explain just how she came to be in possession of a painful black eye on her wedding day.
Katie Barrier was in the midst of celebrating the happiest day of her life, when an accidental collision with the best man left her with some nasty bruising a swollen cheek and perhaps a damaged ego.
Thankfully Katie was able to see the funny side of the story and took to social media to explain how the incident unfolded.

She said: "So people keep asking how I received a black eye on my wedding night.
"It's simple really - a ton of alcohol, a wild wedding party and a husband who thinks he's Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing."
The whole thing came about when the groom tried to pick up her maid of honour, just like in the famous scene from the 80s film.

And great minds think-a-like it seems, because at the same moment, the best man had the same idea.
Low and behold the pair crashed into each other, giving Katie her sore looking black eye.
In the clip Katie is heard yelling: "It's not that bad."
