''Both of his legs got pulled and he couldn’t hold on.''

Two Schoolboys from the UK are 'lucky to be alive' after they were sucked through a pipe as they returned home after school

Euan Bottomley and Luke Davies, both 12, were heading back from their school in Lincolnshire, when the incident happened.

As a result of flooding they could not see where they were putting their feet and ended up falling into a brook and through a pipe under a track.

Euan told Lincolnshirelive he was sucked under the water and into the pipe before being spat out at the other end.

''It sucked me in with a lot of force, so much so that I didn’t have time to hang on.''

He then thought his schoolbag had followed him through, only to realise it was Luke, who had also been sucked through “Luke told me he saw my PE bag and thought I was messing about so went to go and get it,” he said.

“He said he got sucked though. Both of his legs got pulled and he couldn’t hold on.”

''I thought at first I would just get my feet a bit wet and thought the water might go up to my knee. When I fell in I was fully submerged.

“I don’t remember getting out. I just remember putting my head up out of the water about a metre from where I came out.”

The boys father has expressed his concern as he fears if the pipe isn't blocked there could be a fatality.

He said: “What if someone does die in the next week or year? How could I live with myself if I didn’t report it?”
