"Use your blinkers."
BMW drivers have come under fire as aggressive drivers who do not always use directionals when changing lanes.
Now the carmaker has come out against these drivers who give the brand a bad name with a tweet that says: "Use your blinkers."
The post has gotten 14,500 likes and multiple people piling on the chance to give BMW drivers a good rinse.
One Twitter user responded with: "I tried,” with a floppy, broken indicator rod.
A second user added: "This is like Willie Nelson telling people not to smoke weed."
A third person wrote in with their own cheeky little joke: "We don’t need those, we drive BMWs.”
Some wondered if the tweet was even real, with one person asking if the account had been hacked.
Unfortunately BMW drivers do have a pretty negative reputation on the road.
In 2021 a study revealed that BMW drivers are the 'the worst' on the roads.
The survey asked 4,000 people who they thought were the 'worst drivers on the road'.
Almost 40 percent of respondents said they had a big problem with BMW drivers.
The report said: "It's clear that BMW drivers have built up quite the reputation for them, hence the joke that BMW's don't come with indicators.”
"And to hammer home how the rest of the public seems to think about them, a quick internet search for the term 'why are BMW drivers...' sees Google suggest results such as 'so hated', 'so arrogant' and 'idiots'.”
Use your blinkers.
