'Mum?' No... 'Dad?' No...
A little girl in the UK has uttered perhaps the most 21st century first word ever, her mother has revealed.
Twenty-six-year-old Catherine, Gates from Blandford Forum in Dorset told the UK Mirror, that her daughter's first word was none other than... 'Alexa.'
According to the mum, Annabelle tapped the Amazon Echo and repeatedly blurted out an attempt at the word "Alexa".
Annabelle said she had been watching her older brother Lucas, three, playing with the voice-activated gadget for months.
So when it came to her milestone moment, she knew exactly what to say.
As coincidence would have it, Annabelle was due to be baptised later that day, and even blurted it out several times during the ceremony.
Ms Gates told the Mirror, "We were just in shock.''
"We use it with the kids to play nursery rhymes and Baby Shark. She’s become completely obsessed with the word.
“It’s got to the point now that when she wakes up from a sleep or a nap she’ll start shouting 'Alexa' from her cot.''
Little Annabelle is certainly the definition of modern baby!
