90% of pet owners admit to planning their holidays around their pets

9 in 10 pet owners plan their holiday around their pets.

That's according to a new study, which found dogs are the most popular furry friends to bring on a breakaway.

A third admit to taking their cat away with them, with six percent even admitting that they have taken their hamster or bird with them.

The study also says nearly a third of pet owners bring their pets on holiday just to avoid them getting lonely.

A spokesperson for Original Cottages, which commissioned the research, spoke to SWNS Digital and said: “Anyone with a pet will tell you – they’re part of the family.
