An 11 year old girl and her father are being praised after they managed to prevent a robbery in a supermarket in Sussex, England.
The green hooded, masked robber came into the corner store in West Sussex waving a knife around and threatening staff.
His attempt to snatch the contents of the cashier where deterred when an 11 year old girl and her father fired a loaf of bread and a bottle of squash at him.
Yesterday (16 September) an armed robber was scared off by an 11-year-old girl and her dad in #Worthing.
The pair threw two bottles of squash and a loaf of ? at him in an attempt to stop the robbery.

Thankfully, no one was hurt during the botched robbery but Detective Constable Noel Simmonds hopes that people don't overlook the seriousness of the incident noting how it might be "tempting to just view the spectacle of an armed robber fleeing in panic from a young girl". However, he wants the focus to now be shifted onto catching the suspect as he stated, "Next time someone could be seriously hurt".
