Teaching young people about the success they can achieve in life by trying hard and putting 100% into their endevours, is vital.

But showing them what the fruits of persistence can provide just adds a whole other dimension.

That’s why by partnering with the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company’s #YouthEmpowered programme, the Dough Bros from Galway are showing all young people what is possible.

The Dough Bros. tale is one of determination and persistence

But it wasn’t always that way.

Brothers Ronan and Eugene Greaney had to harness the power of self-belief and resilience on their journey to success.

From small beginnings in a street food truck and countless obstacles overcome, the Dough Bros never stopped aiming high… and now they have the success to show for it.

This is the kind of story that the #YouthEmpowered programme is all about!

Now in its second year, the #YouthEmpowered programme seeks to support those aged 18-30 across Ireland and Northern Ireland who are not in education, employment or training with the skills and confidence to aim high and make goals like the one above a reality.

After helping 460-young people in classroom training sessions in 2017, this year also sees the introduction of the new Digital Hub. Offering convenient e-learning courses to equip job seekers with essential skills to succeed.

The #YouthEmpowered Digital Hub provides fundamental life and business skills for young people, including courses in financial literacy, time management, project management, business, negotiation and sales skills. Young people can also embark on self-development courses, discover what career is the best fit for their personality and learn more about relationship and communication skills. At this stage it’s hoped up to 750-young people will benefit from the programme in 2018. An amazing number.
