A world without wine? Here's what it might look like...

Not cool...

So you may have seen the horrifying news released by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), that grape production levels are currently at an all time low.

And Italy, France and Spain, the world’s leading wine producers have been the hardest hit.

While the OIV have assured us that the grapes aren't going anywhere for the time being, they did admit it's a worrying trend...

So take a deep breath, there's no need for mass panic...yet.

It got us thinking though...what if, touch wood, we woke up tomorrow and all the grapes in the world had disappeared...what would happen to society?

Would we crumble?

We started spit-balling around the office and came up with these five-predictions for a wine-less world:

1. Black market bottles

Shady back alley dealings, late night shipments to a dimly lit dock...Black Market wine would be a lucrative undertaking!

2. 'Adulting' Meme makers would be out of business

Without the go to, 'forgetting the stress of adult life with a glass of wine' meme, these poor souls would find themselves aimlessly wandering the streets...meme-less, and ironically without any wine to forget their adult troubles.

3. Folk tales about the happy times

''Gather round children, let me tell you a tale of the before time, when grapes grew on vines as far as the eye can see''

Would the children understand what we've lost?!

4. Wine glass museums would be a thing

''See the unique shape? This allowed the stressed individual to fit as much wine into the glass as possible, while retaining the illusion of class.''

5. The wine snob would go extinct...

Ok, maybe this one isn't so bad... No we can't taste the hint of rosemary!

But seriously, we don't want to live in a world without wine!

Can't we just assemble all the scientists and put an end to this grape decline?

I'll start making calls personally.
