Big brother is watching...
Tell you what lads and ladettes, this whole surveillance thing is getting scary!
WhatsApp have gone and jumped on the location sharing bandwagon, announcing they'll be introducing a "Live Location" feature.
Basically, what it means is you'll be able to track your friends locations in real time.
The new feature will be rolling out on both iOS and Android in the near future.
Thankfully however, it'll be up to the user if they chose to share their location or not.
If you choose to, you can switch on the feature and share your exact location for either fifteen minutes, an hour, or eight hours.
Once you've shared your location, whoever you've done so with will be able to see exactly where you are on a map.
Then you can decide to either switch off your location, or alternately just let the timer run out.
And, like all WhatsApp messaging, 'Live Location' will be fully encrypted end to end.
But still... remember reading 1984 as a child?
Just saying...
