Three Nurses in Taif, Saudi Arabia, have been fired after a video showing them squishing a newborn baby's face while giggling, went viral.
In the above video, the nurses can be seen laughing while deliberately squishing the face of the newborn.
Upon learning of the misconduct, the Maternity Hospital immediately suspended their medical licenses.
Taif Health Affairs spokesman, Abdulhadi Al-Rabie said: "The Health Affairs investigated the source of the video and was able to identify the nurses who appeared in the video and the hospital where the incident took place.”
The baby's father told Saudi media he was shocked when he saw the video on social media.
Social media users also voiced their anger at the video:
“All three nurses should thank God I was not the baby's mother. I'd squeeze all your faces much harder,” one wrote.
While another said: "Wow! These nurses are a disgrace to their profession! How disrespectful to the parents, besides hurting the babies!"
