A new Red C poll also found 90% of those surveyed believe an overall ban could lead to a black market for the products.
One in five vapers say they would return to smoking if flavoured vapes were banned.
Laws preventing the sale of flavoured vapes to those under 18 have been in place since December, with Government plans for a full restriction on the products set to follow.
Professor Luke Clancy, Director General of the Tobacco Free Research Institute Ireland, says we don't fully know the harm they're causing yet:
"If you ingest them into your stomach like where they're suppose to go, they seem to be harmless enough but when they're inhaled, we're inhaling materials into out lungs and the damage it is going to cause is unknown yet but you can be certain that when you inhale foreign bodies into your lungs it causes damage."
