Hundreds of trees nationwide were uprooted and the latest we have, (at time of this publication), is that 186,000 homes, businesses and farms are without power.
Earlier this morning, a woman in her 50s was killed after a caravan blew off cliff in Co.Galway. More on that here.
Flights have been cancelled and transport has been majorly disrupted as Storm Ali moves northwards.
This afternoon, Twitter user Eric Duffy captured this footage of a Ryanair plane aborting a landing during high winds at Dublin Airport.

We can only imagine the fright passengers on board got.
I was on that flight! It was awful but the pilots did an amazing job and we landed on the second attempt #Ryanair #safe
