It's a brave new world...
Can you picture yourself marching down to the pub and quenching your hard earned thirst with some Alcoholic Tofu?
You might soon have the option! As scientists from the National University of Singapore have developed the world's first alcoholic drink made from the popular Asian food.
The main ingredient is whey, which is a by-product in the manufacturing process of Tofu.
The beverage has been called 'Sachi,' and is the creation of Liu Shao Quan and PhD student Mr Chua Jian Yong.
The final product is said be a yellowish wine-like brew, with a slightly sweet fruity, floral flavour.
Co-inventor Quan told 'Business Insider the drink boasts: “health benefits like bone health, heart health, and cancer prevention.”
Well that's certainly a plus!
So...would you be brave enough to give it a try?
