From Athy in Kildare to the Big Apple if you don't mind!
'Picture This' duo Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford are absolutely killing it at the moment.
The boy's self titled album has landed itself in the top five of the alternative charts in the U.S.
And just this morning they played their hit single 'Take my hand' to over an estimated four-million viewers on set of the famous 'Today Show' in New York.
The presenter seemed to be pretty impressed with the way the boys have exploded from obscurity onto the international scene:
“In less than a year, Picture This went from working class beginnings in a small Irish town to selling out two Dublin arenas in under three minutes”
The pair were fresh off playing their first ever New York gig the night before and lead singer Ryan reinforced how unexpectedly quickly the band has come into the limelight.
“It’s been crazy, we didn’t expect it at all. We just put a song on Facebook at the very beginning – which is Take My Hand. We didn’t even want to be a band at the time, we were kind of forced into it, so now we’re here. To be playing in New York last night was amazing,'' he said.
Good work lads!
Watch this space, there's big things to come from Picture This.
