April 1st is always a day rife with #FakeNews and no matter how aware you are of potential pranks, it's hard not to get caught out at least once.
Here's our top 10 favourite pranks of 2018 that we came across today on social media:
10. Barry M's Colour Changing Foundation
Green for 'romantic' and orange for 'happy'. Kind of like those rings you had as a kid that would change colour depending on your mood- popular makeup brand Barry M's new foundation claims to match your mood, "perfect for when you want to wear your feelings on your face."
9. Coca-Cola's three new flavours
Targeted specifically towards all the millennials out there... introducing sugar free Avocado, Sourdough and Charcoal flavoured Coke. They really captured the essence of the Insta generation with their #Brunchclub and #Avoclub tags.

8. Penney's brown bag inspired collection
Ignoring the 'Primark' branding plastered all over the products (It's PENNEYS okay!?) A new beige & blue collection inspired by their famous brown paper bag is set to hit the shelves in the near future. A strange move but hey, it is all about slogan tees this season!
Introducing our most hotly anticipated capsule collection yet. Inspired by our iconic brown paper bags, these make perfect additions to any new-season wardrobe. ‘Because the paper bag just isn’t enough…' ❤ Prices starting at only £3/€4 https://t.co/upBF8XLDz7 #Primark pic.twitter.com/H2p01ksPZr

7. Burger King's Chocolate Whopper
Including a chocolate cake bun, raspberry syrup and white chocolate 'onion rings', Burger King's Instagram announced today that the Chocolate Whopper is "coming soon. maybe." Honestly... we wouldn't even be that mad!
6. Heinz' Chocolate Mayonnaise
Another chocolate themed prank- though that's understandable on Easter Sunday. However, chocolate mayonnaise is just something we can't get on board with. That being said, who remembers chocolate philadelphia cream cheese? That wasn't awful so maybe we ought to give this a chance...
5. LEGO's VacuSort
A new sorting-hoover is set to be released by LEGO later this year. The VacuSort separates LEGO pieces of different colours, shapes and sizes. Although admittedly a good idea, what we'd like to see is a new version of the popular building blocks that don't bring tears to your eyes when you stand on them!

4. McDonald's #MyBigMac
Ever want to see your face on a burger? No, us neither. But McDonald's are now offering the feature of taking a selfie and have a seed-jet 'print' sesame seeds on top of your bun. We have to admire the lengths they went to for this promo as it even features a #MyBigMac engagement. But it's a no from us.

3. Argos' Eau de Catalogue
This one is a bit of a tease because who doesn't love the smell of a brand new book? Argos claims to have made a new fragrance called 'Eau de Catalogue' in the form of a USB-powered scent diffuser. You can plug it into your computer while shopping online so you don't miss the signature scent of their famously massive catalogue. Genius! Can we make this a real thing please?
2. The EU's new blue passport
The European Parliament have poked fun at Britain and their new blue post-Brexit passports by announcing that everyone in Europe is to receive a new navy cover. Who knew they were such messers? But fair play, we got a good laugh out of it!

1. The Independent's Donald Trump article
And finally, our favourite prank of the day. The Independent.co.uk published an article entitled 'Donald Trump quits Twitter because he's 'too busy putting America first.' *sigh* What can we say? If only!
So there concludes our favourite pranks of 2018. Did we miss any? Let us know which was your fave!
