A hospital kitchen in Navan Co. Meath has been ordered to close after a dead rat was found for the second time in two months.
The deceased rodent was found at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, and follows another dead rat being discovered in a separate area in December last year.
It's among 10 enforcement orders from the Food Safety Authority issued to various premises in January.
Other problems found at sites across the country include mouse droppings, cockroach infestations, inadequate cleaning and raw fish being stored next to raw chicken.
