And parts of the country could face snow in the coming days.

Met Éireann has forecast all parts of the country will dip below freezing overnight tonight, as temperatures fall between -1 and -2 degrees.

And it won't get much warmer tomorrow (Thursday) either, with the colder conditions expected to continue through to Friday.

Thursday will see highest temperatures of only 4 or 5 degrees, with snow a possibility for the east of the country, the national forecaster warns.

Friday will be mainly dry with temperatures between 6 and 8 degrees. While at this stage it's set to be more of the same on Saturday and Sunday.

The main thing to do in the short term though? Get the blanket and hot water bottle's ready, you'll need them tonight!
