Ireland ranks extremely high on the 'Good Country Index'

Ireland? Really good country that one. 

Ireland has taken out second place in the world on the prestigious ‘Good Country Index’.

What is the Good Country Index exactly? Well it's a ranking of countries of their contribution to the world depending on their size.

Basically it's a who's who of the nice guys and girls on the planet.

Back in 2014, we topped the entire list. However we dropped back to 11th two years ago...but now we're well and truly back!

A country’s placing on the list is determined by the following criteria:

• Science and Technology.
• Culture.
• International Peace and Security.
• World Order, Planet and Climate.
• Prosperity and Equality.
• Health and Wellbeing.

After all of those factors are taken into account, Ireland ranks in 2nd place overall! We all deserve a pat on the back for that, it was a team effort.
