Instagram have finally told us why we're seeing the same people appear first over and over.
Ever wondered why you're always seeing the same people at the top of your Instagram feed and in stories?
Even though it mightn't even be someone you're close with, there they are every morning. Making you feel like some sort of social media stalker akin to something out of 'YOU'.
Well Instagram have finally explained the process that determines who you're seeing first and why.
In a post, Instagram said "what shows up first in your feed is determined by what posts and accounts you engage with the most, as well as other contributing factors such as the timeliness of posts, how often you use Instagram, how many people you follow etc."
We’ve noticed an uptick in posts about Instagram limiting the reach of your photos to 7% of your followers, and would love to clear this up.

So if you're seeking some more diversity in your feed, here's why you should do:
Start posting pictures and stories more often, follow some more people, and start being more generous with the double taps.
