A high protein breakfast may be pivotal in losing weight

Who doesn't love a fry-up in the morning?

It's one of life's pleasures...and it turns out it might actually be beneficial for weight loss!

That is according to a study from Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.

They found that downing a breakfast high in protein can assist you in controlling unhealthy eating habits later in the day.

The researchers said most people don’t eat enough protein at breakfast – with women averaging around 11-grams and men 15-grams.

It's understood 25-grams of protein in the morning is the ideal amount, which you can usually find in two eggs. While a piece of bacon packs about 3-grams of protein.

Manny Noakes of CSIRO said, “Increasing breakfast protein may help to control eating later in the day.

“If you find it difficult to control what you eat, a redistribution of protein towards breakfast may be the answer to reducing your waistline without leaving you ravenously hungry and craving unhealthy foods.”

So there you go, get out the frying pan and start sizzling!
