Plans for a credit for household electricity bills appear to have hit a delay.
The Government credit of €100 was to be allocated to 2.1 million domestic energy bills this January in order to offset spiralling prices.

However the Irish Examiner is reporting the mechanism to apply the credit to 2.1 million energy accounts hasn't been finalised.
It's expected to kick in in March now.
