Here we go again...
For some of us, the return of Christmas tunes is something to be celebrated.
But for others...it’s an absolute nightmare, in fact it may actually be damaging for their health!
As we count down the days to St.Nicks arrival, spare a thought those working in the service industry.
We’re talking cafe’s, hotel’s, supermarkets, restaurants, department stores...basically any business that has speakers.
Clinical Psychologist Linda Blair told Sky News that "People working in the shops at Christmas have to [tune out] Christmas music, because if they don't, it really does stop you from being able to focus on anything else. You're simply spending all of your energy trying not to hear what you're hearing."
So what are the main offenders?
According to Billboard these are the top 10 most played Christmas songs of all time:
10. "Last Christmas," Wham!
9. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," Andy Williams
8. "White Christmas," Bing Crosby
7. "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)," Trans-Siberian Orchestra
6. "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Burl Ives
5. "Feliz Navidad," Jose Feliciano
4. "Jingle Bell Rock," Bobby Helms
3. "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)," Nat King Cole
2. "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Brenda Lee
1. "All I Want for Christmas Is You," Mariah Carey
Do any of these titles send shivers down your spine?
Or will you be playing them on repeat right up until December 25th?
