The pound sterling has plummeted after two ministers resigned in protest over the final Brexit plan.
The backstop agreement with Northern Ireland has been sighted as a key reason why Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab quit today, saying he couldn’t support Theresa May’s EU withdrawal plan ‘in good conscience’.
Earlier in the day Shailesh Vara, who backed EU membership in the 2016 referendum, also quit as a junior minister.
As a result of the resignations, the pound fell heavily against most major currencies after Mr Raab’s resignation.
The Sterling dropped 1.1% to $1.28 and was 1.2% lower at 1.13 euros.

Further Westminster resignations are expected and it is even possible the Prime Minister will face a challenge to her position.
All you can really do is just sit back and watch in amazement.
