'It's gonna take a lot to drag me awayyyyyyyyyy from you'.
Perhaps the most pointless, yet poignant art installation of the 21st Century has been set up in the Namib Desert in Namibia in southwest Africa.
What is it? Well it's a sound installation that plays Toto's hit 'Africa' on a loop.
The project was set up as a tribute to the 1992 classic and according to the BBC, the artist who constructed the installation says it'll be powered with solar batteries 'to keep Toto going for all eternity'.
"[I] wanted to pay the song the ultimate homage and physically exhibit 'Africa' in Africa," the 27-year-old artist told the BBC.
"Some [Namibians] love it and some say it's probably the worst sound installation ever. I think that's a great compliment."
When asked how long the song will play for, Siedentopf said that he hopes the song plays for 55 million years, but admits the harsh landscape will eventually take its toll on the set up.
We just want to know one thing...when the rains down in Africa actually come, what'll happen the installation?
