Feel like you'd want to expand your friend group but Covid-19 is getting in the way?
Well one woman has made her mission to cheer up people in nursing homes with a penpal.
Stacey Fiat from Blissful Wedding Décor has created Pen Pal Project Ireland.
The idea of the project is make sure that older people in nursing homes have people to communicate with.
Stacey set up an email address for young people to apply for a Pen Pal back in October and received over 5,000 emails on the first day.
There is now over 15,000 follower on the instagram page and Stacey has temporarily closed entries for the initiative as they have had over 11,000 applicants already.
