Lidl is offering customers free in-store recycling.
The supermarket chain says it will be the first retailer operating in the Republic of Ireland to offer the service.
Customers will be able to dispose of the paper and plastic packaging from their grocery shopping after paying at the checkouts.
Deirdre Ryan, Lidl Ireland's Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, told Louise that the in-store recycling stations will be rolled out across all 160 of its stores by the end of May.
