The iconic teen series Gossip Girl has officially confirmed a reboot, however it's not all good news for fans.
Rather than picking up where Serena, Blair, Chuck, Dan et al left off, the new series will follow a whole new cast.
According to executive producer Josh Schwartz, the new show will instead be a "continuation of that world", introducing all-new characters.
The new 10-episode series will address how much social media and New York has changed in the years since.
He added that the original cast have been told about the new series and it would be “great” to see them make an appearance.
