They look set to follow Instagram's lead by hiding 'likes' on the platform.
Starting yesterday, Facebook rolled out a trial in Australia hiding the number of 'likes' a post gets.
Like Instagram, the likes are still visible to the owner of the account but will remain hidden from everyone else.
The move comes as pressure mounts on social media platforms to be mindful of their users' mental health and the pressure that social media creates.
A spokesperson for Facebook told Tech Crunch; "We are running a limited test where like, reaction and video view counts are made private across Facebook."
If the trial is successful, it's expected to be rolled out across all accounts.
