The Irish Examiner reports that Penneys say this range has been designed to ensure effective absorption and reduce the smell of any odours. The design also means they're easy to wash and reuse.
They reportedly can be worn for up to eight hours and have the absorption of up to four tampons.

The period underwear can replace your tampon, pads and cups. However, they can also be worn alongside these products if you feel you need to.
The collection comes in three shapes: mini, midi and hipster and you can get ones for either a medium or heavy flow.
