Skibbereen's Post Boxes have been painted gold in honour of its local Olympic heroes.
On Thursday morning, we woke to the awesome news that rowers Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy had won gold!
They edged out Germany to win the men’s lightweight double sculls final.

And An Post are truly showing their pride in the pair, by dedicating a post box to them!
They're expected back in the County Cork town later this week.
No plans have been made yet for their homecoming due to the pandemic.

An Post spokesperson Angus Laverty says the post boxes on Market Street are a popular place for people to do their post business.
"Where better to celebrate Paul and Fintan's fantastic efforts than by turning those post boxes gold," he said.
