More than €6 million was raised!
Despite Covid-19 restictions and heavy rain, Pieta House had great support for this year's Darkness Into Light (DIL).
Although there were no organised walks for the second year in a row, people across the country walked, ran and swam, while social distancing, to raise funds for the suicide prevention charity.
More than €6 million was raised.
It means that Pieta's free crisis helpline will be able to give 3,500 people 8 hours of free counselling.
Over 140,000 people across the world took part in the annual event.
Fundraising & Advocacy Manager from Pieta, Tom McEvoy, said they were "humbled" by the support.
"Once again the people of Ireland came to the fore despite the weather," he said.
"We want to reach out and say a big huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the year but especially during Darkness Into Light," he said.
