The awards are at 7pm tonight
Graham Norton and Paul Mescal will be flying the flag for Ireland at tonight's Bafta television awards.
The Normal People star is up for the leading actor prize for his role as Connell in the smash-hit drama series.
He faces competition from John Boyega for his part as Leroy Logan in Small Axe, along with Josh O'Connor who is nominated for his portrayal of Prince Charles in the Crown.
Norton is up for best entertainment performance, an award he has won on six previous occasions.
His competition includes Bradley Walsh of Beat the Chasers.
Normal People and Small Axe will also go head-to-head for the best mini series.
Comedian Richard Ayoade is hosting the event, which is kicking off with a live performance from Years & Years' Olly Alexander.
There'll be no special awards or fellowships this year as Bafta is currently reviewing the processes that govern their presentation.
Bafta was criticised for giving Noel Clarke an outstanding contribution award in April despite being aware of sexual harassment claims against him, which the actor denies.
The show starts at 7pm tonight on BBC One.
