A US border patrol agent has been charged following what police are calling a serial killing spree that left four women dead in Texas.
The 35-year-old is alleged to have murdered them all in the last two weeks.
According to Isidro Alaniz, the area's district attorney, police had information that the suspect tried to kidnap a victim, who later escaped and raised the alarm.
The suspect fled, running through a hotel before being intercepted and arrested yesterday.
The names of the four victims have not been revealed. Police said they had been working as prostitutes.
