Ever wondered why country's have the names they have?
A map created by Credit Compare shows the literal translation of every country's name (to English) and they range from humorous to strange and extremely literal.
Some of the funnier ones include Andorra (shrub-covered land), Spain (land of many rabbits) and Cameroon (river of prawns).
Some just sound bad-ass, like Italy (sons of the bull), France (land of the fierce) and Denmark (home of the warriors).
While some have quite direct and to the point translations, like Ireland (land in the west) or Romania (people from Rome).
