With parts of the UK currently in the grips of a major freeze, is there any chance of similar temperatures drifting across the Irish Sea?
If you've been keeping one eye on the weather in the UK, you'll be aware that temperatures as freezing as -10C have been recorded in parts of Scotland.
However, mercifully that weather is yet to make it's way to Ireland and thankfully...that looks set to continue.
Today will be largely dry and mild, the night will be cold but conditions will pick up again for the weekend.
Writing on its website, Met Eireann said: ''Saturday will be largely dry again with a few bright or sunny spells'' with highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.
A blanket of cloud has kept much of the north frost free, but where skies cleared across parts of England and Wales we've had a cold and frosty start to Friday morning. How cold is it with you? ❄️ pic.twitter.com/ErEC4RzY7n

Meanwhile Sunday will be a little colder, with ''dull or cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle'' with highs of 7-11 in some parts of the country and lows of 5-8 in others.
And Monday...more of the same! ''Outbreaks of rain in the west will spread southeastwards during the afternoon. With high temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.''
Chilly, but not -10 chilly. Here's hoping that stuff just continues to stay well away from us!
