17-year old has a suspected broken neck and back after falling into a quarry
A Teenager has sustained injuries described as potentially life-altering, after suffering a 30-metre fall on her way to a watch the Ed Sheeran performance in Cork.
The devastating fall happened when the 17-year old attempted to take a shortcut to the Pairc Ui Chaoimh venue in Cork on Saturday, before falling down a quarry.
The full extent of her injuries is not yet fully known.
Meanwhile another fan of the singer, broke both her legs in a separate accident before the concert on Saturday evening.
Ed Sheeran is set to play in front of two sold out crowds in Galway this weekend. Those attending are urged to practice caution, a strong Garda presence is expected.
